Ministry represents the practice of serving by following God’s call. Ministry represents active service to meet spiritual, emotional, and physical needs under Christ’s name, while the term “church” usually describes structured religious institutions and assemblies of believers. Ministry activities include preaching and pastoral care, alongside mission work and community engagement initiative.
Every believer has a calling to serve God in some way beyond clergy responsibilities. 1 Peter 4:10 (NKJV) states, “As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”
